How do I send a picture to you if I'm having problems uploading one with my ad?
If you are having issues with uploading your photos, please send your pictures, including your user name and ad number to support@myequinesource.com
How secure is my credit card information?
We use a Starfield Secure certificate for Secure Socket Layer (SSL) transactions. Starfield Secure certificates offer strong RSA-based encryption for secure transactions. All of this means that your credit card information is sent directly to the credit card processor in a very secure manner, so that nobody else can see it. That protects you by ensuring that nobody but you and the credit card processor will see your card.
Does MyEquinesource.com share it's customer database with third party companies?
No. None of the information entered when you sign up as user is shared!
Does MyEquineSource.com charge a percentage of sales on the site?
No. Prices are a per ad basis.
How do I sign up or register?
Simply click on the
register button at the top of any page and follow the instructions. It is free and very simple.
Why should I sign up if I'm not selling anything?
When you create an account, you are given a favorites folder where you can store ads that have sparked your interest. This will also allow you to communicate with the seller of an ad.
If I sell something, who contacts the buyer?
You do. MyEquineSource.com does not monitor communication between buyer and seller.
When purchasing an ad, what is the business name that will show up on my credit card statement?
MYEQUINE.
What is a featured ad?
This is an ad that shows up on the home page. The thumbnail picture and text will be larger then normal ads posted. This draws attention to all ads in the featured section. And is proven to be a 1000% more effective in finding a buyer.
What does it mean to bold my ad?
This feature bolds the text in your ad and changes the background color for additional attention.
How do I upload my photos?
To upload a photo from your computer, simply place the image on your desktop. When placing your ad, you will be asked to upload your photo. Click the browse button and locate the photo you saved on your desktop. The final step will be to click the upload button. The first photo you upload will be the thumbnail photo to the left of your ad. The following graphic formats are supported: .jpg, .gif, .png.
What is JPG & GIF?
When you look at any file. You will notice it has 3 letters on the end. These 3 letters say what type of file it is. Very much like domain names do. If you see MYFILE.TXT you know by looking at the last 3 letters this is a TEXT file. Which means I can read this in notepad. Well JPG, GIF, PNG and more are picture files. Your next question will be why so many different ones? Well each one is made a little bit different. Some are better in cad programs and others for artists. When you see EXE or COM these are excutable programs. Which means they run a program. Understanding what they mean just helps you to understand the files on your computer.
I can't upload my images?
99% of all digital cameras take photos that are huge! 99% of the cameras transfer these photos from the camera to the computer in JPG format. You will need to RESIZE these photos. Fortunately, resizing is not a hard task. All you need is a FREE program that is user friendly. Here is a free program that is very easy to use.

How current is MyEquineSource.com?
The site is updated on a daily basis. The staff at MyEquineSource.com constantly checks the site for old ads and problems.
How do I find my lost password?
Simply click on the 'Forgot password' link on the home page.
Do I need to log out?
Although not necessary, it is advisable to log out after each session.
How can I get a refund?
MyEquineSource.com only issues refunds if the staff made an error. Once an ad is placed by a seller, there will be no refunds.
